Putin: Russia sees corruption as serious issue, fights consistently

ARKHANGELSK, Mar 30 (PRIME) -- Russia is fighting corruption consistently and sees it as a serious problem both in and outside the country, President Vladimir Putin said at a forum on Thursday.

“As regards our internal political events, we consistently stand for fighting against corruption, which is quite a serious problem both for us – by the way, to a lesser extent recently, judging by public opinion surveys among other things – and for other countries,” Putin said.

“This is urgent and we do this. I personally speak for constantly placing corruption fight issues in the focus of public attention. And I always perceive people’s attention to these issues positively.”
